Fees for Therapy
I charge between $205 - $220 for a 50 minute session, based on income. This is well below the APS suggested scheduled fee of $300 per session.
You do not need a doctor's referral to see me, unless you wish you claim your sessions under Medicare.
Medicare Rebates
The current Medicare rebate for a Clinical Psychologist is $141.85 per individual session, for up to 10 sessions (the referral pattern is 6+4 with a GP review between each lot of sessions) per calendar year.
To be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate under this scheme, clients must be referred by a GP or Psychiatrist for treatment of a 'diagnosable mental disorder'. Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders (Depressive and Bipolar disorders), Adjustment Disorders, Eating Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Drug and Alcohol Disorders and Sexual Disorders fall into this category. You will need to bring your referral letter and a copy of the Mental Health Care Plan to your first appointment, or ask the staff at your GP surgery to send it over to me.
Private Health Fund Rebates
You may also be able to claim a rebate from your Private Health Fund, depending on the level of cover you have.
Supervision Rates
Please contact me via the next page to discuss rates for supervision.
Please note, I do not work with legal issues or write medico-legal reports. I do not work in the SIRA (e.g. CTP & workers compensation) space. If you are looking for a therapist to work with you under a worker’s compensation or CTP claim, you can find someone via this link.
